This, now fully restored car, was the first 4WD rally car of Marcus Grönholm.
Grönholm is one of the most successful WRC drivers of all time, ranking third in rally wins (30), and winning two championships, in 2000 & 2002.
The livery of the car matches the livery used by Marcus Grönholm & Ilkka Riipinen at 1989 34. Hankiralli Finland.
The car belongs to Marcus Grönholm's private collection.
The most challenging aspect of this project was finding the initial information for reproducing the decals and stickers. There were very few pictures of the car, so the research work took a lot of time.
Additionally, the difficulty was compounded by the fact, that many of the companies advertised on the car had ceased operations decades ago. Thus, nothing could be found on the internet, and the source material had to be gathered from old photographs, newspaper clippings, and car magazines.
As a curiosity, it's worth mentioning, that the initial data for one of the stickers in the car, was found in the yellow pages of a 1988 phone directory, which was acquired for the project from an antiquarian bookshop.
However, the end result is a perfect match of the original - even the smallest detail has been taken into account.

The first phase in all projects is to create a drawing, where all the reproducible graphics are present in correct scale. This drawing is used to get the customer approval for the graphics.
This photograph was one of the reference photos used for recreating graphics.
